A trans global agenda.

In the fight for our human rights is not only important legal recognition but also the possibility to create simbolic references in which we could identify as a collective and a path to build our own story. In world history fights and wars for the supremacy of power were more important than the cotidianity of life, and only transcendet those who have access to the political power marginating all the rest.
This is a first step of a chronology of latinoamerican trans activists, share with the other sexual diversity demands. There is no information about this and is very importad that all of you help to build this history. The errors or mistakes are all ours because of the limitation of information. We are sure your contribution is going to be this challenge a goal.

This is an initiative to approach demands and proposals built up in differents regions during two important events: IV Regional Conference of ILGALAC and I European Transgender Consul in Civil and Politic Rights.

This investigation made in Ecuador give us new knowledge about diverse identities, specially trans identities. Academic reserch are very important to understand about the reality about us. Camacho had an ambicious idea “try to understand the construction, deconstruction and reconstruction about identity transformation of transvestites as social subjects”.

Personalities: Diane Arbus (1923 - 1971)
American photographer who is an example of those personalities that open new symbolic worlds for those which were not considered citizens - as transvestites and all the people integrated in trans collective were viewed. She represented them as people of bones and flesh in all their humanity.

Arts: Pink and Grey. Turks transsexuals take to the stage to defend their rights
The leading actresses are Derya Tunz and Sera Can, amateur stars, male-to-female transsexuals, sharing the acting with their actual jobs as sex workers. "Despite all the discrimination we face, I have no regrets for what I am. My only regret is having ended up in the prostitution sector", said Sera Can. "Pink And Grey" represents the latest initiative of a fledgling but increasingly vocal movement for rights by a community long ostracized and often harassed.

Conference: 24 th World Conference of ILGA, Québec (Canadá), from May 14 to May 20, 2008
Is the time for full member organizations of the association to submit proposals on subjects they would like to see addressed by the conference.
